Our History

Working Harder for You Since 1972

1972-1980

Haaker begins in Santa Fe Springs, moves to El Monte, and then settles in Pomona as the business continues to grow. We represent Vactor, Lodal, and Ecolotec. John A. Haaker runs the business, and Bill Haaker is working in the business as a salesman, mechanic, and anything else that needs to be done.

1980s

Haaker becomes a dealer for Elgin sweeper and integrates the first ERP system to operate the business. Sadly, Jim Haaker passes away, and his brother Ed succeeds him as the Chief Financial Officer.

1990s

Continued growth paves way for a new division selling Fire Equipment and Randy Blackman joins as an owner of the business. John A. Haaker retires and hands the reins over to Bill Haaker as President/CEO.

2000s

Randy Blackman is appointed President to allow Bill to focus on growing sales as the CEO and Sales Manager. Additionally, Haaker moves to a new 49,000 sq. ft. building in La Verne, after growing out of the facility in Pomona, and adds a facility in Las Vegas, NV. Matthew Woods rejoins the Haaker team and founds a new division, Total Clean that sells, services, and rents floors scrubbers and sweepers.

2010s

The company faces the tragic and sudden loss of Bill Haaker on December 17, 2010, as a team we carry on his vision and values. Additionally, Ed Haaker and Randy Blackman retire allowing for a new management team led by Robin Haaker as President, Matthew Woods as Vice President of Sales, and Jake Haaker as the Vice President of Operations to lead into the future. We see growth in new markets including a significant investment in Rental Equipment, a new location in Arizona, and a new division that focuses on hydro-excavation. We also have become a dealer for Envirosight, Powerboss, and multiple other gateway products.

2020s

As we continue to grow we are committed to focusing on a collaborative approach with our customers to help them find the right piece of equipment through a team of experts in our industry. We focus on empowering our team to find solutions to problems as they arise and are always looking for a better way to solve the problems we face.
